Just when you thought Glenn Beck (pictured) and Bill O’Reilly could not prove to be any nuttier, we have this (from Media Matters for America):

O’REILLY: Why do you think there’s a level of hatred against you and against me that there is? I mean, look, I was kidding about Bill Maher before. I don’t hate Bill Maher. I like –

BECK: I don’t either.

O’REILLY: I mean, he’s not my kind of guy, but I don’t want to hurt him. I don’t, you know — I’ll make fun of him. But these people want to hurt us. They want to hurt us. Why do you think that is?

BECK: I think because that’s the only way you can win the argument. Look, I mean –

O’REILLY: But they can’t win the argument.

BECK: No, I know that. So what do you do? It is — I mean, it’s why Woodrow Wilson put thousands of Americans behind bars. If you can’t win the argument, you have to shout them down, you have to call them racist, you have to call them names. You have to do whatever it is you have to do. If that doesn’t work, the revolutionary way is as Robert Creamer – as I pointed out on the show. Here’s a guy who went to prison for embezzlement — has designed the progressive blueprint that Obama is using. David Axelrod says that. In a newspaper article when I expose him, he says that we must do whatever we have to do, whatever it takes, to shut him down. Well, what do you think that means?

O’REILLY: Yeah. No, OK, I think that’s a good answer. There’s no other reason for it — other than jealousy.

This shows that Glenn Beck is nuts.

This is the same Glenn Beck who called President Obama and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor “racist” in different rants (which is puzzling since Barack Obama is half white).

This from the same Bill O’Reilly who routinely goes on the air and calls many who disagrees with him “loons,” “pinheads,” “kooks,” etc.

This from the same Bill O’Reilly who has his tough-guy “producer” stalk women like the vacationing Amanda Terkel from Think Progress (and then later crying like  a sissy because people bother poor Sarah Palin when she is on vacation).

This from the same Bill O’Reilly who routinely uses his platform to attack NBC and anything affiliated with it (to satisfy his personal vendetta).

Close your eyes and imagine picking up your newspaper and not being able to distinguish between the “hard” news content and the content on the editorial page. Now, open your eyes and (if you can stomach it) watch Fox News. The commentators and anchors are mostly the same – right wingers lying about being fair and balanced.

Check out this Media Matters for America clip to see how Fox News nutjob Glenn Beck hands the baton of bias off to fake anchor Chris Wallace, of Fox News Sunday.

Florida Law Professor Confronts O’Reilly Over Racism
By: Steve – September 25, 2009 – 10:30am

Dr. Jeremy Levitt, a law professor at Florida University, confronted Bill O’Reilly last night over Fox News role in fomenting racial tensions regarding President Obama. Specifically Dr. Levitt cited Glenn Beck and the network’s role in encouraging the 9/12 protests, which featured an assortment of racist signs.

O’Reilly dismissed the racist right-wing attacks on Obama as part of a fringe group, insisting that an equivalent group exists on the left. He also stated that 10 percent of the nation is racist. Dr. Levitt would not let up, however, telling O’Reilly that “Fox News and the far right have a race deck, and they play the ace of spades every day.”

The 10 percent number from O’Reilly is just made up, and he made it up, a FOX poll showed that 20% admitted to being racist towards Obama, but O’Reilly said he dont believe that, then made up the 10 percent number as what he believes it really is. Earth to O’Reilly, even at 10% that’s 30 million people.

Not to mention, in the past O’Reilly has denied there is any racism against Obama at the protests, when Professor Levitt showed there was. O’Reilly admits it is 10 percent, when the polls show it’s 20 percent, and that number is most likely higher because a lot of people will not admit to being racist, even in polls.

Here is a sample of how Fox News spent the first 100 days bashing President Obama.

I wanted to feature this video one more time just to show you how nuts these people  at Fox News have become over Barack Obama.

The first 100 days of the first black president really has bothered those on the far right at Fox News.

Comparing him to Hitler, calling him anti-American, suggesting he is a radical figure, saying he is taking us to socialism …

Here is the latest outright lie from Fox News right-wing talk show host Glenn Beck, as pointed out by Media Matters for America:

BECK: Well, why doesn’t somebody – somebody else besides Major Garrett and Jake Tapper — I mean, I know Major Garrett doesn’t ask the questions at the White House, because he’s never called on. Hmmm. I wonder why. Why doesn’t someone else besides those two call the president out on his blatant intellectual dishonesty. [Fox News' Glenn Beck, 8/12/09]

It’s a flat-out, fully-conscious lie.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs and President Obama have called on Garrett (even when he has asked questions that are less than stellar).

Here is some of the evidence:

During his August 3, August 4, August 6, August 7, and August 12 briefings in the James S. Brady press briefing room, Gibbs responded at length to multiple questions that Garrett asked.

Since taking office, President Obama has also taken several questions from Garrett. During press conferences, Obama responded to Garrett’s questions on February 9 in the East Room, March 24 in the East Room, April 4 in Strasbourg, France, and June 23 in the Brady briefing room.

Just another example of Glenn Beck either lying or being inept at the most basic research.

Bill O’Reilly returned to the plantation (also known as The O’Reilly Factor) and hosted the far-right John Ziegler to discussSarah Palin’s decision to resign as governor of Alaska. The problem is … O’Reilly, a definite right winger posing as an impartial talk show host, clearly was not up front about John Ziegler’s very strong pro-Palin, blind-rage bias. O’Reilly seemed to try and portray Ziegler as some random radio talk show host who happened to have an opinion about Sarah Palin.

By the way, he just had Karl Rove (one of George W Bush’s right-hand men) on the show with no balance and he is bringing on Mary K. Ham and Juan Williams to probably try and portray President Obama as bankrupting the country.

Bill O’Reilly is definitely back and sitting comfortably to the far right of the political mainstream.

Mitt Romney rarely misses an opportunity to exploit any situation to bash President Obama and try to keep himself in the spotlight for a run at the White House (likely in 2012). Romney, however, continues to prove himself to be an extremist willing to say just about anything negative to gain some degree of publicity … even if bashing our president for trying to repair the bridges burned down by the previous (Republican) administration.

ROMNEY: The comments by the president last week, that there was a robust debate going on in Iran, was obviously entirely wrong-headed. What has occurred is the election is a fraud, the results are inaccurate, and you’re seeing a brutal repression of the people as they protest. … It’s very clear that the president’s policies of going around the world and apologizing for America aren’t working.Look, just sweet talk and criticizing America is not going to enhance freedom in the world.

Romney would be wise to realize that the reputation of the United States of America was severely damaged worldwide by the previous administration’s do-what-we-say-because-we’re-better-than-you approach to foreign policy. The United States of America can no longer act like cowboys running all over the world trying to intimidate and strong arm our neighbors.

Sadly, Romney is glued to the far right of the Republican party offering nothing fresh and regurgitating tired talking points (sweet talk and criticizing America) to trash President Obama. Had the Bush-Cheney cowboy approach been more successful then perhaps we would not be in the situation we’re in now … cleaning up a mess seven-plus years in the making.

The people of the United States of America are sick of the hardc0re partisan politicians like Romney (who are willing to inflame to fire up their political base) while offering little positive and woefully few solutions. Anyone can stand around and parrot tired talking points, but when is Romney going to offer more solutions and fewer partisan talking points? A child can run around mimicking what they hear from other people.

If Romney were attempting to be a newspaper journalist he would already have flunked out of J-School for failing to tell the full story and taking comments out of context to advance a biased perspective.

Today, News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch, the man who runs the conservative Fox News (among media outlets – almost all of which are ultra conservative) network continues to be dishonest about his baby, Fox News.

MURDOCH: If we weren’t fair and balanced, we wouldn’t have the number one network in news — by a very wide margin. People believe we’re fair and balanced, and they love us.

To the contrary, Fox News is popular because it IS NOT fair and balanced. The network strives to appeal to the far right in our society. These are the same people who push the largely-conservative talk radio industry so far to the extreme right. Fox News took a successful hardcore right-wing perspective from radio and used it in a different medium: television.

All the right-wing nuts know they can cluster around the television for hour after hour of far-right commentary on Fox News.
